Suspension for Hernandez

MLS' disciplinary committee has reviewed the red card that San Jose defender Jason Hernandez received against Kansas City this past weekend, for his elbow on Teal Bunbury and has doubled his suspension and fine. Hernandez will now miss two games for the Earthquakes and will be fined $500.

Hernandez was caught retaliating to an elbow that Bunbury landed on Quakes defender Tim Ward earlier in the game on one of KC's 3 offside goals. You can basically see the elbow in the video below. Hernandez doesn't have much remorse for the play, which honestly I can't completely blame him. It's the justice on the field that you see quite often in soccer. Unfortunately for Hernandez, the old adage of the person that retaliates getting caught held true here as well.
