Chhetri on His Way to Australia?

Sunil Chhetri and the Indian national team get their AFC Asian Cup campaign started this week when they take on Australia. It appears that Chhetri will have another set of eyes looking at him in the game. Word out of Australia is that A-League side, Perth Glory, will be watching Chhetri with an eye towards signing the forward. With only about a month left in their season, Perth is currently in 10th place, second from bottom. According to the article Chhetri would be part of Perth's attempt to rebuild their team. Chhetri's only made one competitive appearance for KC, starting the team's Open Cup qualifier against the Colorado Rapids early in the season. Chhetri picked up a yellow card and was subbed out at halftime as the Wizards lost 2-1. Chhetri other appearances were all in reserve friendlies except for his sub appearance against EPL table toppers, Manchester United. This wouldn't be a big loss for KC as I don't think Chhetri will get much more time this year, but I still would have liked to have seen more from the forward.

Good move by Perth, another terrible job by KC.

If it's a terrible job by KC, it's for bringing the guy in in the first place, let him go.

Other than a marketing ploy, what was the point of bringing in a guy that took up an international slot and made over 100k and did not play a single regular season game. What a waste of resources. Hopefully the team remembers that this year with their signings.

What a senseless aquisition by the Wizards.
