Wizards Up for End of Season Awards

Four Wizards are up for End of the Year awards from MLS.

First, the Wizards have two goals up for the MLS Goal of the Year. The first nominee is Davy Arnaud's long range blast against the LA Galaxy at Arrowhead stadium. The other nominee is Josh Wolff's bicycle kick against Chivas USA a few weeks later. You can vote for either, or both goals here.

Once again, Wizards defender and captain, Jimmy Conrad is up for the Defender of the Year award. Conrad is up against Chad Marshall and Bakary Soumare. Conrad finished the season wtih 6 goals and played every minute of every game this season for the Wizards.

The other Wizard up for a year end award is Claudio Lopez, who is up for Newcomer of the Year. Lopez finished the season with 6 goals and 7 assists this season for the Wizards, and is up against Darren Huckerby and Andre Rocha. Lopez's chances at this award appear to be lower than Conrad winning his. Huckerby was huge for San Jose this year.
