Playoff Time is Here

It's playoff time again, and once again the Wizards are into the playoffs. Tomorrow the Wizards playoffs kick off at Community America Ballpark, as the Wizards host the Supporter Shield winning, Columbus Crew. The Crew won the season series against the Wizards, winning two and drawing 1. While the Crew scored 8 goals against the Wizards this season, the Wizards scored 4. Earlier this year, the Crew thoroughly outplayed the Wizards in KC winning 3-0 at CAB. Since then, the Wizards have gone 10 games at home without a loss. The Wizards have also added two players that have become very important to the Wizards late season resurgence, in the form of Herculez Gomez and Abe Thompson.

Coach Onalfo seems likely to continue using the same lineup that he'd been using the past two games, that have seen the Wizards get two straight wins. And with Josh Wolff unavailable it looks like Claudio Lopez will get the chance to continue his good run of form.

PREDICTION - If the Wizards want to have a chance in this series, they have to win tomorrow, and they likely need to do it by two goals. The Crew are a good team and one of the highest scoring teams in the league. So the Wizards are going to need to rely on the offense that we've seen the past two games to carry them through this series. If the offense can continue it's form and the defense stays strong, the Wizards can take a good lead into the second leg.

KC - 2 (Gomez, Lopez)
CLB - 0
