Sporting KC Preseason Schedule Announced

Today Sporting Kansas City announced a portion of their preseason schedule. As expected, the team will be making a return Arizona, but as announced previously will not be competing in the Desert Cup, instead they'll also spend part of preseason in Orlando for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic.

Preseason kicks off on January 19th, a week after the MLS SuperDraft, and 2 days after the Supplemental draft, where the team has a combined seven draft picks, with physicals. The next day, the team kicks off training in Kansas City. Training will likely be at the Arrowhead indoor training complex, depending on the weather. The team will train in KC until January 29th, when the team departs for Tucson, Arizona. The team will train in Arizona until Valentine's Day, when they return to KC. During their time in KC they'll play games against other MLS teams and FC Tuscon. The team hasn't announced any games, but the Tucson Sentential has KC playing Vancouver on February 2nd and San Jose on February 4th.

The Wizards will be back in town only a week before departing for Orlando for the second phase of their preseason trip. KC will train in Orlando until the Disney Pro Soccer Classic, which kicks off on the 24th against Houston. KC will play Davy Arnaud and expansion side Montreal on the 26th, and finish playing Vancouver on the 29th. Should KC finish in first or second in the group, they'll play on the 3rd in the championship or consolation game. The team will then return to KC on the 4th in preparation for the start of the MLS season either on the 10th on the road or on the 17th at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
