S.A.S. Monday Edition

Lots of good stats from the game last night, including a landmark goal by Teal Bunbury.

In 6 games at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, this is KC's first win there. It was KC's first win in Colorado since 6/9/2004 when Josh Wolff scored a 90th minute penalty kick.

Teal Bunbury's two goals were only the 3rd time in team history a KC player has scored multiple goals in the playoffs, the other two times, Miklos Molnar in 2000 and Davy Arnaud in 2004.

Bunbury's first goal was the 100th KC has scored against Colorado in all competitions in team history. The Rapids are the first team KC has hit this mark against.

Bunbury's first goal was his 17th in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Francisco Gomez and moving him into a tie with Molnar, Eddie Johnson, and Jimmy Conrad. Bunbury's second goal broke that tie and moved him into a tie with Matt McKeon for 12th place with 18.

Bunbury's 12 goals in all competitions this year is good for a tie for 7th on the all time list with Preki's 2002 and 2003 season, and Josh Wolff's 2005 season.

Davy Arnaud made his 13th playoff appearance for KC, Breaking his tie with Jimmy Conrad and tying him with Peter Vermes for 9th place on that list.

Eleven players made their MLS Cup playoff debut in the game.

The win was only KC's second ever road playoff win, the first game was in 1996 against the (then) Dallas Burn, in a shootout.

The win was KC's 4th playoff win over Colorado, the most wins against any one opponent.
