India Falls as Chhetri Sits

Wizards forward, Sunil Chhetri did not play for India today in their 2-0 loss to AFC Champions, Iraq. Chhetri picked up an injury earlier this week in practice and was forced to miss the game today. Chhetri and India's other primary striker, Bhaichung Bhutia, both missed the game in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The other big news for Chhetri and India is that national team coach, Bob Houghton has quit his post only 2 months before the Asian Cup in Qatar. Chhetri though is currently expected to return to action on Sunday when India take on Kuwait.

To my knowledge, Houghton has not quit, but rather speculated he may do so after the Asian Cup (depending on the outcome).
