Kansas City take on Struggling Rapids

The Wizards host the Colorado Rapids tomorrow night, in the Wizards first game since the All Star game. Of the combined 4 All Stars from the two teams, only Jimmy Conrad played the full 90 minutes, Eddie Johnson played 65 minutes before being subbed out, while Kevin Hartman was a half time sub. Colorado All Star, Pablo Mastroeni, came on in the 60th minute.

Coming into the game tomorrow, Colorado is winless in 8 games, their last win came at home against LA back in May. The Wizards meanwhile, got their first win in 7 games against Real Salt Lake. It's no surprise that the win coincided with the return of Eddie Johnson. The Wizards should be able to field the same lineup that they did against Salt Lake.

Hartman
Jewsbury - Conrad - Garcia - Burciaga
Zavagnin
Victorine - Marinelli - Harrington
Arnaud - Johnson

Prediction
A wounded animal is the most dangerous, and the Rapids are wounded badly, they haven't won since May, and recently made a big move by trading Kyle Beckerman to Salt Lake for Mehdi Ballouchy. This game looks like it could be a bit tricky. The Wizards still don't have their best shooting boots, as they continue to out shoot opponents (20-5 against Salt Lake), but can not muster the goals that so many shots should be producing. Hopefully the Wizards break out of that funk a bit and can put a few into the net on Sunday.

KC - 3 (Johnson x2, Movsisyan)
CO - 1 (Gomez)
