Eddie Nixed Derby Move

In the ongoing saga of Eddie Johnson, Derby County, and his possible move there that was killed, this news comes out today. According to that article, the transfer was approved by the league and by the Wizards, but it was Johnson himself that turned down the move to the newly promoted club. In the article good arguments are made as to why he'd stay, Johnson is having a very good season so far, at his current strike rate, he'll finish with close to 20 goals this season for the Wizards, even while missing 6 games. A good season like that would possibly bring bigger fish to the table then Derby. Also you can see his change in attitude from last year to this year, he's out there actually trying and doing what he can to help the team.

While this news comes with no defining quote or link with it, I'm posting on it, because I heard the exact same news on Saturday at the Wizards game, but was asked to not post about it. With the news being released by another source I can comfortably come out and talk about this news now.

If this is true, you can add him to the Americans with no balls list. If you're wondering who is no. 1 on that list, his name is Landycakes.

I can understand why though, I honestly don't think he's got the talent and/or ability to make it elsewhere. He's absolute rubbish when it comes to international play.

I think it's too early to say that, if he plays out the rest of the season, does well and gets a better offer than Derby County, it's a plus. Johnson wants to go to Europe one day, I just think he thinks he wants to go to a better team.
