Jacob Peterson was the 30th player for Sporting KC to make their league debut against DC United.

At 34 years, 217 days, Jimmy Nielsen becomes the 9th oldest player to appear in a league games and in all competitions for KC.

The win for Jimmy Nielsen was his 25th for KC, he's the 5th keeper to hit that mark for KC.

Roger Espinoza made his 100th appearance in all competitions for KC last night. He's the 25th player to hit that mark for KC.

CJ Sapong scored the 25th goal against DC United at RFK stadium in KC's history.

Sapong's goal was his 10th goal in all competitions, he's the 25th player to score that many goals for KC.

The goal was also Sapong's 3rd game winning goal in all competitions, tying him with Diego Gutierrez, Carey Talley, Onandi Lowe, Chris Henderson, Frank Klopas, and Aurelein Collin for 19th place on that list.

The assist for Graham Zusi was his 12th in all competitions for KC, tying him with Eric Quill for 20th on the all time list for KC.

Sporting KC is now 11-4-2 all-time in season openers, the best mark among all MLS teams. KC has lost only one season opener in the last 11 seasons.
