Bunbury Scores in GA Win over Madrid

The MLS Generation Adidas team got their trip to Spain off to a good start, as they defeated Real Madrid's reserves today in Spain 2-1. SKC forward, Teal Bunbury started and played the full 90 minutes for the GA team. Bunbury scored the first goal for the GA team, the ball was crossed in by Houston midfielder, Danny Cruz and was knocked into Bunbury's path by Juan Agudelo. Bunbury one timed his shot into the net. Bunbury also played a roll in the team's second goal, as Bunbury picked up a loose ball and played a cross into the box. The cross was poorly cleared into the path of Dilly Duka who fired home to give the GA team a 2-0 lead. They held that lead until the 68th minute when Madrid pulled a goal back. The GA's held on and won the game 2-1. They next play on Tuesday, check out highlights below.

Real Madrid reserves? Holy crap, they looked like a U-18 team. Wild.

Are sure it's not the youth team? I'm sure the Madrid reserves would have hammered these youngsters.

Nice to see Bunbury all of a sudden picking up his game. Perhaps, the call up to the national team stoked the fire in him.

?, more talent on this youngster team (more raw, but talent is talent) than on the Wizards team that beat what now appears to be largely Man Utds first team. You are over selling Real Madrids reserves and under selling the talent of these young American players. Its not like Madrid is some sort of amazing system for developing talent, they buy their first time, they dont get those player by bumping them up from reserves.
