Former Wizards Update

A very big week for former Wizards around the world. Not only did Herculez Gomez become the first American born player to lead a foreign first division in goals, the rest of the former Wizards picked up the goal scoring slack with him suspended for the final week of the Mexican season. This week 10 goals were scored by former Wizards, including Adam Cristman, Vicente Arze, Ryan Pore, Eddie Johnson, and Yura Movsisyan. Combine that with 3 more assists (Cristman, Pore, and Doug DeMartin), and 3 shutouts (Will Hesmer, Neal Kitson, and Chris Konopka) and this is probably the best week for former Wizards since I've been tracking them.

Thanks for keeping this up Mike. It's very interesting and one of the best features I've seen on any soccer blog.

When was Preston Burpo a Wizard?

As I've said previously, I'm not sure, but he was on the Wizards all time roster in the media guide when I started tracking former Wizards.
