Kamara World Wide

Most Wizards' players and fans would rather forget the above incident from Saturday's game against LA. Kei Kamara highest among them, but the rest of the world will not let them forget it. Not only has it been dubbed one of the misses of the century by The Sun in the UK, but today it was also covered in the US by both PTI and Around the Horn. It's also been on the front page of Yahoo and covered by Dead Spin.

I certainly think it is one of the worst misses I've ever seen, but I don't know if I'd consider it the worst miss ever. The ball wasn't going into the net unlike some other big misses I've seen. Still all Kamara had to do was run through the ball and it'd go in, but at least it wasn't like either of the one's below. Which of the 3 do you think is the worse? Vote in the poll to the right.

I feel for Kei. I was a horrendous miss for sure, but if you play soccer long enough-especially as a forward- you will miss some like this. Maybe it's just me.

Kei's unorthodox style keeps defenders off balance and gives a feeling of danger forward for the first time in a while for the Wizards. I hope he puts a few more away soon so this thing gets behind him.

Hmmm, when I was re- telling my son the story of this play that night after the game, I was weaving a tale of how Kei slipped because of the rain..but, after seeing the replay over & over, he DID actually just flub it! Still #$% happens, and Reepicheep is dead on, Kei is a score waiting to happen and as a added bonus he is also seems to be a good person and is cool tweeter..haha. Go Wizards!

what I find amusing is that on the national soccer blogs this is the story, while if LA would have continued their winning ways those blogs would be talking about how great they are. not much type on regard to younger defenders shutting down Buddle and Donovan. So I guess congrads to Kei for actually getting the Wizards noticed, even if its for good laugh.
