A few days after acquiring Herculez Gomez from Colorado, the Wizards have made another trade. This time, the Wizards acquired FC Dallas forward, Abe Thompson for allocation money. Thompson gives the Wizards another option up front along with Gomez. Is it too late for the Wizards this season? Possibly. Still, at least the Wizards are trying to address their scoring woes in some form.
To make room on the senior roster, the Wizards waived midfielder, Ryan McMahen.
Buzz at the great FC Dallas site, 3rd Degree is reporting that Thompson is already in KC training with the team. Which is a good sign for his possible inclusion in the 18 man roster for this weekend in Houston.
