Another Game on the Road

After the 1-0 win over Seattle last week, KC continue on the road taking on the Chicago Fire. Chicago is coming off of a 3-3 tie in San Jose, where they came back 3 times from a goal down to earn the draw. Chicago has a conundrum in their midfield/forward positions, as they have 7 players that could play in a total of 5 spots, meaning that two players will likely be sitting to start the game. Chicago will likely be sitting two of these players, John Thorrington, Logan Pause, Justin Mapp, Patrick Nyarko, Chris Rolfe, Marco Pappa, and Blanco to fill their midfield and pair with Brian McBride up top. That's good news for KC as that's a strong midfield and having to sit two of those players will certianly be a good thing. The other good news is that Wilman Conde is questionable for this game, he leaves a hole in the Chicago defense if he doesn't start. Even with all this, it's still going to be hard for KC, as Chicago is a good team.

With two wins using the same lineup, it's unlikely that Coach Onalfo will be making any changes to the lineup ahead of the game tomorrow, so I expect we'll see the same lineup as we saw against San Jose and Seattle.
Hartman
Watson - Conrad - Hohlbein - Besler
Jewsbury
Gomez - Hirsig - Wolff
Arnaud - Lopez

PREDICTION - Historically KC has not done well in Chicago, last year was only the team's second ever win there. Even with the issues that the Fire have, they're still a strong deep team and will give KC all that they can handle on Saturday. Either way Chicago is the favorite going into this game and KC grabbing a point on the road, especially in Chicago would be a plus. Unfortunately I have trouble seeing KC getting that point in Chicago this weekend.

KC - 0
Chicago - 1 (Rolfe)
