Open Tryout Participants

Since I found the list of the open tryout participants for the tryouts next weekend at the Wizards training facility, I've spent some time looking up basically all the players that were listed, trying to find out where certain participants have played previously. I've found quite a few of the players that are going to be at the open tryouts. I won't post about all of them, but I have found a few players that are currently playing professionally around the world. I'm going to focus mainly on those guys as well as some of the local players that I have found during my searching.

Samuel Sowle - I haven't found anything recent, but he was on the Avila University soccer team in 2007.

Raul De La Torre - De La Torre is on Dodge City Community College's soccer team this past year.

Kevin Ten Eyck - Played at Missouri State for a year before transferring to Friends University.

Karim Touati - I'm not sure if I found the right player, but from google searches, I found a Karim Touati, who at one time was on the Tunisian Olympic team, and had played for Espérance Sportive de Tunis at one time.

Guilherme Marcelino da Silva - If this is the same guy (they are the same age and same size from reading the player roster), this guy has a youtube video out there of his play. He last played for Esporte Clube União Suzano which is in the fourth division in Brazil.

Stanley Luke - Currently on the roster at KCKCC.

Ollawa Emenike - I found a link that says that he at one time went on trial with a team in Tunisia, but that was back in 2007.

Munyaradzi Madeyi - I found an odd mention of Madeyi, that he appears to leave in the comments section over on Goal.com. If it's the same person, he played at Southwestern College in Kansas.

Dorian Caballero, Chris Reusch, Matt Stufflebeam - Participated last year at the open tryouts, and advanced to the second day.

Jose Azurdia - If it's the same player, Azurdia is currently on the roster for Deportivo Xinabajul in Guatemala.

Kyamran Tairov - Was on a list of players that were originally schedule to be at the tryouts for the Minnesota Thunder.

Christopher Wreh - If it's the same guy (and they are the same age), the cousin of former FIFA World Player of the Year George Weah will be at the tryouts. He was last with Perseman Manokwari of the Indonesian league.

Ovidio Gonzalez - Former player at KCKCC.

Kalev Saarna - Played for the KC Kings last year.

Yacine Hamchaoui - Recently finished up his season at Van Horn High School.

Ashley Veitch - Just finished his freshman season at Missouri Valley College.

Seth Holsten - Was on Central Methodists team in the 2007 season.

Chad Becker - From Rockhurst University and was profiled back in January by Hillcrest Road.

Juan Villacres - Just finished his senior year at Missouri Baptist.

Tshepo Edwin Mutlaneng - Tried out for the Chicago Fire back in December and advanced to round 2 of their tryouts.

Filip Prostran - Former player for Graceland and the Des Moines Menace.

Zacharias Retta - Was on the 91 Kansas ODP team back in 2003-2004.

Simon Bracalello - Has his own online soccer resume. Also had a tryout with the Newcastle Jets of the Australian A-League. He last played for AC Prato in Lega Pro Seconda Divisione aka Serie C2.

Samuel Odongo Oling - Looks like he's from Uganda and last played for Vegetarian SC.

Andrew Konopelsky - Former Yank Abroad from Philadelphia, he last played for Odra Opole currently in the Polish second division.

Garrett Jahn - Had played for William Jewell.

Sammy DeGraff - Had an article earlier in the process about his signing up for the open tryouts. He's a Bermudan national team player.

Hernan Merino - Former Missouri Baptist player.
