Back to League Play

After the disappointing result last night, the Wizards will go back to league play tomorrow night when they take on Red Bull New York. Both teams have been struggling as of late, with both teams sitting at the foot of the Eastern Conference. KC can actually get even with New York on points with a win tomorrow. KC comes in off of their 1-1 draw with Dallas and the loss to Seattle in the Open Cup. New York is coming in off of one of their worst weeks in team history. They tied Chivas USA on a poor defensive play. They then lost 2-0 to USL-2 side Crystal Palace Baltimore in the Open Cup before being destroyed 4-0 by Colorado last weekend.

Will their poor week continue, or will New York come back? They look like they'll have Juan Pablo Angel back, which will give their offense a boost. As for KC, they'll have their entire starting lineup for the game. Jimmy Conrad and Michael Harrington will likely play again after 120 minutes last night.

Jewsbury - Hohlbein - Conrad - Harrington
Arnaud - Victorine - Morsink - Lopez
Trujillo - Sealy

PREDICTION - The Wizards need to win this game. After the lineup they put out last night in the US Open Cup, pressure is on Onalfo to prove this move right and get a win with the first team in league play. Even with Angel back, KC should be able to win this game. New York is in the form spot we were in recently, and is finishing up a 3 game league road trip (5 games including friendlies and Open Cup). NY will likely be ready for this game though, as their coach, was none too pleased with the performance and laid into the team after the Colorado game. We will see which team shows up tomorrow.

KC - 2 (Lopez, Harrington)
RBNY - 1 (Angel)

Worst week in team history - and with NY that's saying a lot!
