Heading to Seattle

The Wizards will play tomorrow in the Quarterfinals of the US Open Cup against the Seattle Sounders of the USL-1. The match is going to be played at the future home of the Seattle Sounders FC MLS team, Qwest Field. The game is at 9pm Central time and will be on USL Live. According to Andrew Wiebe, the Wizards will be fielding a mostly reserve lineup. In Wiebe's write up, he talks about inquiring about player availability at practice this week and finding out that it looks like starters will be staying behind. With that decided, I'd expect a lineup fairly similar to the one that was put out against Carolina last week, minus Carlos Marinelli, who I doubt will play with his continued hamstring problem.

Kronberg
Leathers - Wahl - Hohlbein - Marquess
Myers - Zavagnin - McMahen - Espinoza
Pore - Trujillo

I'd expect guys like Kraus, Pizarro, McKenzie, Watson, Pardo, as well as one regular starter on the bench.

PREDICTION - Not often is the USL-1 team the favorite, but tomorrow night you have to favor the Sounders. Even though the Sounders are traveling across country, and have played a pretty full schedule lately, I'd expect the Wizards reserves to not be able to hold up tomorrow night.

KC - 1 (Pore)
Sea - 2 (Le Toux x2)
