Single Season Minutes

Another stat for you, this one the top 10 most minutes played in a single season both in league and in all competitions.  In league play, Jimmy Nielsen became the first Kansas City player to break the 3,000 minute mark in a single league season.  Playing every minute of all 34 of KC's league games gives him the number one spot on the list.  Kei Kamara also joins the list this year playing 2,871 league minutes in 2012.

1. Jimmy Nielsen - 2012 - 3060
2. Nick Garcia - 2000 - 2916
Peter Vermes - 2000 - 2916
4. Preki - 1996 - 2880
Bo Oshoniyi - 2005 - 2880

Kei Kamara - 2012 - 2871

In all competitions, the 2000 season and the run by Nick Garcia and Peter Vermes beats out Nielsen's 2012 run, but not by much.  Nielsen is the only one from the 2012 season to make the list.  Graham Zusi was less than 70 minutes from joining the list.
