Single Season Appearances and Starts

Jimmy Nielsen appeared in all 34 regular seasons this year for Sporting KC.  Nielsen becomes the second player to play in 34 games in a season, along with CJ Sapong in 2011.  Kei Kamara only missed one game this past year, while Graham Zusi missed 2.

In all competitions, Nielsen only missed a single game, the 3-2 win over Orlando City in the US Open Cup.  Nielsen becomes the 5th player to appear in 40 games in a single season for Kansas City, the current record.  Zusi missed just 2 games in 2012 to put him at 39.
