Sunday After Stats

Not only did Jimmy Nielsen have a superb game last night he also hit a few milestones and set a few team records too.  Here are some stats from last night's game.

Jimmy Nielsen set a team record for league starts in a season with 33.

Nielsen also set a team record for minutes in a season, he's currently at 2970, ahead of Nick Garcia and Peter Vermes' record in 2000 of 2916.

Nielsen made his 100th appearance for Kansas City in all competitions, he's the 30th player to hit that mark.

It was Nielsen's 100th start in all competitions as well, he's the 23rd player to hit that mark for KC.

It was Nielsen's 93rd start in league play, tying him with Mark Chung and Roger Espinoza for 19th place on that list.

Matt Besler made his 97th league start for KC, breaking his tie with Sasha Victorine for 17th on that list.

For only the 3rd time in team history KC finished with a positive goal difference on the road, +5, in 2000 the team was +5 and in 2005 the team was +3.

For only the 2nd time post shoot out, KC finished with a winning record on the road, going 8-4-5, while in 2000 the team went 5-3-8.
