Sunday OF Stats


Some stats for you from today's game against Columbus.  Lots of season milestones starting to be hit.

In the 62nd minute, Matt Besler moved past Sean Bowers and into 16th place for the most minutes played in all competitions.

In the 73rd minute today, Besler his 10,000 minutes in all competitions for Sporting, he's the 17th player to hit that mark.

It was Besler's 96th league start for KC, tying him with Sasha Victorine for 17th on that list.

CJ Sapong's goal was his 13th league goal, tying him with Matt McKeon, Jose Burciaga, Sasha Victorine, and Claudio Lopez for 15th on that list.

It was Sapong's 19th in all competitions, tying him with McKeon for 13th on that list.

Sapong's goal was his 6th away from home in league play, tying him with Francisco Gomez for 14th on that list.

It was his 7th in all competitions, tying him with Eddie Johnson for 15th on that list.

Sapong made his 50th start in all competitions for KC, he's the 46th player to hit that mark.

Graham Zusi's assist was his 23rd in league play, breaking his tie with Kerry Zavagnin for 7th on that list.

The assist was Zusi's 15th in league play this season, tying Preki's total from the 2000 season for the 3rd most in team history in a single season.

It was also Zusi's 27th in all competitions, breaking his tie with Mark Chung for 6th on that list.

It was his 16th in all competitions this year, once again tying the 2000 season by Preki for the 3rd most in team history.

Chance Myers made his 100th appearance in all competitions for KC, he's the 28th player to hit that mark.

Aurelien Collin made his 50th league appearance, he's the 46th player to hit that mark.

Roger Espinoza started his 104th game in all competitions, breaking his tie with Mark Chung for 19th on that list.

It was Espinoza's 93rd start in league play, tying him with Chung for 19th on that list.

Jimmy Nielsen tied a team record for starts in a season tonight with his 32nd start.

The draw was the 25th for Nielsen, tying him with Kevin Hartman for 3rd most in league play.
