S.A.S. Thursday After Stats

Sporting KC got their 18th league win of the season, good for the most in a non-shootout year.  It's also good for the second most in any year for KC, including the shoot out years.

The win was KC's 10th at home this season, the first time since 2000 that the team got 10 home wins and only the second time post shootout that it's happened.

The goal by Jacob Peterson was the 50th league goal for KC at Livestrong.

CJ Sapong's goal was his 14th league goal, tying him with Jack Jewsbury for 14th on that list.

The goal was Sapong's 20th in all competitions, tying him with Chris Brown and Igor Simutenkov for 11th on that list.

Sapong's goal was his 8th in league play at home, tying him with Claudio Loipez, Jose Burciaga, Teal Bunbury, and Graham Zusi for 15th on that list.

It was Sapong's 13th in all competitions at home, tying him with Brown and Mark Chung for 11th on that list.

The game winner was Sapong's 6th in league play in his career, tying him with Mo Johnston, Miklos Molnar, Eddie Johnson, Brown, and Burciaga for 8th on that list.

It was Sapong's 8th game winner in all competitions, tying him with Scott Sealy, Digital Takawira, and Simutenkov for 7th on that list.

Kei Kamara's two assists gave him 18 for his career in league play with KC, giving him sole possession of 12th place on that list.

It gave him 18 in all competitions as well, tying Kamara with Francisco Gomez and Burciaga for 13th on that list.

Kamara finished tied for 7th for the most league minutes in a single season, tying Mark Chung's 2,871 in the 1997 season.

Kamara made 33 league appearances this year, the 3rd most in a single season in team history.

In the 86th minute, Jimmy Nielsen moved past Bo Oshoniyi and into 19th place for minutes played in league play, he finished the game with 8,437 minutes.

Nielsen finished the season with a club record, 3,060 minutes played in league play.

Nielsen made 34 league appearances this year, tying Sapong's 34 in 2011 for the most in team history.

Nielsen made his 94th league start for KC, breaking his tie with Chung and Roger Espinoza for 19th on that list.

The win was Nielsen's 21st in all competitions, tying him with Mike Ammann for the most wins in all competitions in a single season.  Ammann's victories include shootout wins.

Seth Sinovic made his 50th league appearance for KC, he's the 47th player to hit that mark for KC.

Sinovic and Julio Cesar made their 50th league starts for KC, they're the 40th and 41st players to hit that mark.

Graham Zusi made 32 league appearances this year, tying him for the 4th most in a single season in team history.
