Rangers Beat Chicago

Sporting KC got an early goal from Soony Saad off an assist from Luke Sassano, and that was all the Swope Park Rangers needed to get the 1-0 win. Things got testy towards the end, as two Chicago Fire players, Daniel Paladini and Kwame Watson-Sirboe both picked up red cards in the 87th minute as the Fire finished with 9 men. Michael Harrington picked up a yellow card in the situation as well.

The only other news really from the game, was trialist, Jairo Rodrigues Peixoto, a Brazilian center back to played in Santos' youth system. Not going to speculate on the likelihood of a signing, but I like that there are more CB's coming in to camp as I still believe that's the weakest part of our team, CB depth.

questions for anyone who actually watched this game:
did saad play as an attacking mid in this game? did warzycha play as a center back?

it looked like Saad was playing behind Bunbury, a bit higher than Zusi plays that spot. And Warzycha did play CB.

Jairo Rodrigues Peixoto looked very comfortable on the ball, understood space and movement well, and had a good physical look to him. It looked like he got hurt a bit and was subbed off after running into another player. Defense looked a bit more suspect as a whole when he was on the field as opposed to off, but tactics change and the players on the field change, in short, I thought Olum looks better.

saying all this, the only team i have ever selected from a tryout or anything is u9...
