March/April Player of the Month

The first month and a half or so of the season is over for KC and it's time to look at who should be the player of the month for the March/April time frame.

During the stretch, KC went 1-4-1, the one win coming on opening day against Chivas USA. A draw in Vancouver was KC's only other point so far this season. KC has scored 10 goals while allowing 13 during that time frame. Teal Bunbury and Kei Kamara are tied for the team lead in goals with 3. Kamara is the team leader in assists with 2. Omar Bravo has 2 goals in only 120 minutes of play so far this season.

Player of the month for this month plus is Jimmy Nielsen. While KC has allowed a league high in goals, and has yet to record a shutout, you can't help but feel that things would be worse if Nielsen had not been in net for KC during those games. Congrats to Nielsen and winning this month, and here's to a more productive month in May.
