Chhetri Hattrick Leads India

Sunil Chhetri scored a hattrick today in India's 3-1 win over Vietnam in a friendly at Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, India. India came out early looking to shake off it's poor game against Hong Kong earlier this week. Chhetri had some chances early that went wide or were saved by Vietnam's keeper. Early on India had a goal called back for offside, but in the 25th minute, the Chhetri show took over. Chhetri received a pass from Clifford Miranda, took a touch and then buried it in the back of the net to give India the lead. Early in the second half, Chhetri doubled the lead as he flicked a cross into the net with his heal. Vietnam got a goal back on what's being called a controversial penalty kick. Chhetri finished off the scoring when his left footed strike in the 72nd went through Vietnam keeper Hong Son Duong.
