Kamara and Sierra Leone Get Big Draw

Wizards forward, Kei Kamara and the Sierra Leone national team pulled off a big result today in their African Cup of Nations qualifier. The Leone Stars pulled out a 1-1 draw in Cairo against group favorites Egypt today. Kamara got the start for his country and had a good chance early from around the penalty area but couldn't finish it. Sierra Leone grabbed the lead in the 57th minute, but gave the goal back in the 60th minute. This result is a great for Sierra Leone as they begin their qualifying campaign. Egypt has to be one of the early favorites for the 2012 African Cup of Nations as they are the two time defending ACN Champions, were at home, and are the highest ranked African team in the current world rankings while Sierra Leone is ranked 36th among African teams. So while Sierra Leone did give up a lead, the draw gets them started on the right track of hopefully qualifying for the ACN in 2012. This was Kamara's fifth cap for the national team, and his first as a member of the Wizards. After Sunil Chhetri's cap yesterday, Kamara becomes the 25th Wizards player to be capped while a member of the team.
