August Player of the Month

I am a little late to this, got distracted at the end of the month and forgot to post my player of the month for August. In August KC went 3-2, scoring 9 while allowing 6 goals in the 5 games, all held at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. The leading scorer in the month was Kei Kamara, who scored 3 goals in the month. One of which was a game winner against DC United. Graham Zusi also added two goals in the month. Teal Bunbury added a goal and assist. While Roger Espinoza, Soony Saad, and Omar Bravo all scored a single goal. Matt Besler added in an assist. Jimmy Nielsen and the KC back line also recorded 2 shutouts in the month against RSL and DC.

For the month of August, the award goes to, Kei Kamara.
Kamara has hit a good patch of form for KC. After an early part of the season where he was on the bench, Kamara has become again almost indispensable for KC. He scored goals against Seattle, DC, and Dallas in August and has continued to be a threat through the games.

I have to agree. Kei has been the scoring threat and offensive spark on this team. If I remember correctly there were talks about trading him earlier in the year. I'm so glad that did not happen, and hope that the team forgets that notion.
