July Player of the Month

With tomorrow being the first game on August, it's time to take a look at the July player of the month. The Wizards went 2-0-4 in league play in the month of July. There was also the disappointing 2-0 loss to Richmond in the US Open Cup, as well as the 0-0 draw with Newcastle. KC scored 10 goals in July while allowing 7 in league play. The goals came from 6 different goal scorers with Omar Bravo getting three, Aurelien Collin and Kei Kamara both getting two, with CJ Sapong, Graham Zusi, and Teal Bunbury all getting a single goal. Sapong and Roger Espinoza also added two assists, Bravo, Matt Besler, Chance Myers, Jeferson, and Zusi each added a single assist. For me the player of the month comes down to two players, Omar Bravo and Aurelien Collin.

With the decision of being player of the month this month I'm basing it on not just the play on the field but the play when the guy was not on the field. With his replacement being responsible in part for at least two goals, this month, player of the month goes to Aurelien Collin.

Collin had two goals in the month of July and helped to anchor the Sporting KC back line. Since originally coming into the lineup he's helped improve the defensive performance. And with Daneil Cyrus having a few problems replacing him the last game plus, Collin has shown his worth this month even more.

well I have to say that I disagree a little bit with you on this, but in part I understand why you chose him as the July player of the month
