Today we got confirmation of the recent rumor about the US women's national team playing in Kansas City. The US women will in fact be coming to Kansas City to play their first game post World Cup 2011. The US was rumored to be facing New Zealand in the friendly here in Kansas City, but instead the US will take on Canada at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on September 17th.
The game will take place at 6pm in KC, which means that KC fans don't have to worry about missing the team's game that night against Real Salt Lake in Utah. That game starts at 8:30 central time, so plenty of time for both if people are interested.
