Sunday After Stats

Last night's win was Sporting's 5th on the road this season, tying a team record for wins in a non-shootout season, tying the 2000, 2004, and 2005 for the record.  It's also the 3rd most including the shoot out years, behind the 1997 (9 wins) and 1996 (6 wins) seasons.

Teal Bunbury's goal was his 10th away from home in league play, tying Scott Sealy and Mo Johnston for 6th on that list.

Bunbury's goal was also his 17th in league play, tying him with Eddie Johnson and Jimmy Conrad for 10th on that list.

It was also Bunbury's 22nd in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Mark Chung for 9th on that list.

Kei Kamara's assist was his 14th league assist for KC, tying him with Francisco Gomez, Diego Gutierrez, and Michael Harrington for 16th on that list.

It was also Kamara's 14th in all competitions, breaking his tie with Paul Wright and Chris Brown for 19th on that list.

The win was Jimmy Nielsen's 14th in all competitions this year, breaking his tie with Bo Oshoniyi for 2nd place on that list.

It was his 33rd in league play, tying him with Mike Ammann for 3rd on that list.

The 14th win is the 3rd most in a single season for a goalkeeper, and second most in the non-shootout era.  Only Tony Meola (15) in 2000 and Mike Ammann (21) in 1997 (shootout era) have more.  He's tied with his season last year and Garth Lagerwey in 1996.
