Jamar Beasley Official

The KC Star is reporting that the Wizards have officially signed former Chicago Fire and New England Revolution midfielder/forward, Jamar Beasley. Rumors had been around for a few weeks now after the announcement of his trial with KC and his brother DaMarcus tweeting that the Wizards had signed him. The Wizards haven't officially announced the signing, but did state today while tweeting about the game against the Brass that an "official announcement" would be soon. That announcement will likely be coinciding with the waiving of Igor Kostrov which has also yet to be officially announced by the team. According to coach Peter Vermes in the Star article, Beasley isn't expected to be playing for a few weeks as he's got to get up to match fitness of outdoor play, let alone MLS play as he's been playing mainly indoor for over 5 years now. It is a return to KC though as Beasley played indoor with the Comets from 2003 to 2005.
