September Player of the Month

The Wizards are done playing for the month of September, which means it's time to decide who is this month's player of the month. The Wizards went 3-1-1 in the month of September. Much better than the team's winless September. This month there are a few players that are certainly in the conversation for player of the month.

Josh Wolff - Wolff scored 4 goals in the month of September. At the start of the Wizards 3 game East Coast road trip, Wolff played a part in all 4 of the Wizards in their 4-2 win over New England. He also scored the game winner against New York and the game tying goal against Dallas.

Claudio Lopez - Lopez had a goal and 3 assists in September, but that was just what was finished. Lopez could have finished the month with 5-6 assists. The team also could have finished with another win if other players had finished off Lopez's chances.

Kevin Hartman - Hartman had a good month picking up 2 more shutouts in September including some big saves so that the Wizards picked up the 1-0 win in New York. Once again he proved why the Wizards brought him in.

This month, the award goes to......

Claudio Lopez.

It was close between Lopez and Wolff, but Lopez has really come alive this past month under Peter Vermes. Since his move back to the wing Lopez has picked up his play and been much more influential on the game.
