The MLS Fan XI were announced today for this summer's All Star game at half time of Seattle vs LA today on ESPN. This year the All Stars will be taking on Arsenal at San Jose's Avaya Stadium on Thursday July 28th. Sporting KC will have at least one representative available for the game as Sporting's captain, Matt Besler was named to the Fan XI for the game. The final game day roster of 20 players selected by San Jose coach Dominic Kinnear and two by commissioner Don Garber will be announced next Sunday, July 17th. There's not guarantee that Besler's selection here will see him on the game day roster, but in the past only injuries have kept Fan XI players from being on the roster.
The game falls between a pair of home games for Kansas City that see them host Seattle on July 24th and July 31st against Portland.
