Bravo Named All Star

Today during half of today's Colorado vs Seattle, commissioner, Don Garber announced the two commissioner's picks for this year's all star game against Manchester United. The two players selected by Garber were New York Red Bulls' Juan Agudelo and Sporting KC's designated player, Omar Bravo. Bravo joins teammate Matt Besler on the All Star team that will play Manchester United on July 27th at Red Bull Arena. This is the first time since 2007 that Kansas City will have 2 or more representatives on the all star team, Jimmy Conrad, Eddie Johnson, and Kevin Hartman were the Wizards' three representatives that year.

An interesting selection. Wish I could say I tought he remotely merited the recognition, but he has had a pretty middling season so far in my view. Ahead of Bravo in terms of value added to our seadon so far, I would rank at least Collin, Sapong, Zusi, and Myers. Hate to say I think the Commish made the choice based on $$ and hopes of appealing to the Mexican contingent of the league's hispanic fanbase.
