S.A.S. Wednesday After Stats

This was the third time KC has played Des Moines in the tournament proper.  That's tied with Colorado and Chicago for the most against one team.

At 20 years, 97 days, Mikey Lopez became the 9th youngest player to play a game for Sporting KC.

He also became the 9th youngest player to start a game for Sporting KC.

Kei Kamara's goal was his 3rd in the US Open Cup proper for KC, tying him with Ryan Pore for the third most all time.

It was also his 3rd goal in the US Open Cup including qualifiers, tying him with Pore and Teal Bunbury for fourth all time on that list.

The game winner was Kamara's 10th game winner for KC in all competitions, breaking his tie with Miklos Molnar for 5th on that list.

Chance Myers recorded his 10th assist in all competitions.

Myers made his 11th appearance in Open Cup competitions (qualifiers and the tournament proper), that ties him with Preki for the 5th most appearances.

It was Myers' 8th appearance in the tournament proper. That ties him with Josh Wolff, Matt McKeon, Michael Harrington, and Matt Besler for 6th on that list.

It was Myers' 10th start in Open Cup competitions, giving him sole possession of 3rd place on that list.

It was his 8th start in the tournament proper, tying him with McKeon and Chris Klein for the 3rd most all time for KC.

Eric Kronberg made his 9th start in all open cup competitions, tying him with Harrington and Jimmy Conrad for 4th on that list.

Kronberg earned his 5th win in US Open Cup competitions, breaking his tie with Tony Meola for the most in team history.
