Former SKC Wizards Update

Another week of former SKC Wizards updates for you. First, Carlos Marinelli is no longer in Hungary, thanks to a Tweet from The Original Winger last night I found that Marinelli is back in South America, playing for Peruvian side Universidad San Martin, which is currently in the Copa Libertadores. The another bit of news this week, is that Diego Walsh is now looking to come back to the United States after a fairly uneventful few years playing for Wellington in the Australian A-League. He's looking to get back into MLS, but based off his lack of playing time in Australia it's going to be hard to get an MLS job. Some other quick news, draft pick, JT Murray has been waived by Colorado after they picked him up and Jose Burciaga Jr played for Orlando City in their friendly against Philadelphia. Here's the rest of the former SKC Wizards update.

Former SKC Wizards Update

Another week of former SKC Wizards update here. First of all some news on two of the newest former SKC Wizards. Second round draft pick, JT Murray was waived shortly after the team's first preseason game. He's landed on his feet as he's been picked up by the Rapids for their preseason. The other former player is Sunil Chhetri who has signed with Chirag United in India. But on top of that, Chhetri is apparently being linked with a move to Spain and Racing Santander. He's also been linked to other places throughout Europe as well. In other former player news, Santiago Hirsig is without a club right before Quilmes started their Clausura season in Argentina. He's been released by the club. Here's the rest of this week's former SKC Wizards update.

Former SKC Wizards Update

Here's another week of former SKC Wizards updates. First, there were plenty of former SKC Wizards in Omaha late last week when the US 94 World Cup team played an exhibition against the Omaha Vipers. Alexi Lalas, Preki, Roy Lassiter, and Diego Gutierrez all played for the US team, Tony Meola was supposed to play but couldn't make it due to travel. Chris Brunt played for the Vipers. Preki and Gutierrez both had a goal and an assist, Lassiter had a goal, and Brunt picked up an assist as the Vipers won. In other former player news, it looks like Yura Movsisyan is on his way out of Denmark and potentially on his way Russia. Not sure how much of an upward movement that is for Movsisyan, but that could be an interesting move for Movsisyan.

In former coach and front office news, former GM, Curt Johnson has been named the GM of the Carolina Railhawks of the NASL, but since the league did not get sanctioning from US Soccer yet. Also, former coach Curt Onalfo has been named the new assistant coach for the LA Galaxy and will run the reserve team. He will take over the position vacated by Cobi Jones. Here's the rest of this week's former SKC Wizards update.

The MLS season is now over and a lot of former players will now not be updated right now. The indoor season is picking up though and thanks to last Friday's game I now know there's another former player playing for the Omaha Vipers, as Chris Brunt is on that team. Also there is a new former player, Jonathan Leathers is now officially a former SKC player after having been selected by Vancouver in the expansion draft.
