US Play to 0-0 Draw with Canada

In a game that did a good job of putting people to sleep, and is thankfully being overshadowed by bigger KC news today, the US played to a 0-0 draw with Canada last night in Houston.  It's the second time in about a year that the US and Canada have played to a very lack luster 0-0 draw.   Last year it was in Toronto that the two teams looked uninterested in scoring.

On the bright side for KC fans, Matt Besler earned his first national team cap, becoming the 32nd player to represent their national team while playing for KC.  Besler earned the start alongside Omar Gonzalez.  Besler's Sporting teammate, Graham Zusi also got the start.  Sporting's 3rd national teamer, Benny Feilhaber came on as a half time sub.

All 3 had their some moments during the dull game, and all 3 would have to be at least considered for a call up to the World Cup qualifier in Honduras next week.  Besler could be a numbers casualty at centerback as I'm not sure Jurgen Klinsmann will take both Gonzales and Besler to Honduras.  Feilhaber is another fringe possibility. Zusi is the one of the 3 that I expect to be a lock to go to Honduras.
