S.A.S. Thursday After Stats


Plenty of player stats from the game last night, but also some team records are starting to fall as well.

The win was Peter Vermes' 53rd in all competitions, breaking his tie with Ron Newman for the second most wins on that list.

Kei Kamara made his 200th appearance in all competitions in his MLS career.

Kamara's goal was his 31st in league play for KC, tying him with Mo Johnston for 5th on that list.

Sporting won their 8th road game of the season, equaling their number of road wins for the last 2 seasons combined.  They only trail the shootout aided 1997 season by 1 road win.

Sporting KC also tied a team record for wins in a non-shootout season, tying the 16 by done in the 2000 season.

Julio Cesar made his 50th start in all competitions for KC, he's the 47th player to do this.

The win for Jimmy Nielsen was his 16th of the season, setting a new team record for wins in a non-shootout season.
